Happy New Year

As the New Year begins, I carry my amma’s motto close to my heart: live with empathy, give freely, forgive with grace, notice the small joys, laugh until it hurts, create memories that matter, and be a source of positivity for those around me.

Growing up, I would wrap myself in my amma’s sarees and try to walk, talk, and be like her.  I felt so proud when someone called me her mini. Not much has changed. I still drape her sarees and try to be like her, only to realize I can never truly be her.

Beginning the year wrapped in amma’s vintage single border Korvai Kanjivaram.  Single border kanjivarams have my heart.
